Irene was born June 13, 1926 in Chicago, IL to John and Susie B. (Bazso) Kocisko. She was a graduate of Mc Kinley High School in Chicago. Irene married Wendel J. Tipton on March 23, 1946 in Chicago, IL. She was employed by the former Fidelty Life Insurance Company in Fulton, IL, for 6 years. She then worked as a teller for Swisher Savings and Trust Bank in Swisher, IA from 1969 to her retirement in 1984. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Clinton, IA where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed camping and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Wendel; two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Len) Dykstra of Fulton, IL and Wendy (Mrs. Derrill) McDanel of Council Bluffs, IA; two grandchildren, Lori (Mrs. Joel) Brown and Lisa (Mrs. Tony) Loyd; two great grandchildren, Justin Brown and Alison Loyd; one sister, Elizabeth "Betty" (Mrs. Charles) Marks of Spring, TX; and one brother, John (Coreen) Kocisko of Norridge Park, IL. Special family friend, Paul Carter of Clinton, IA.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark McDanel.
