Daughter of Nettie Louise Orr Bryant and Melvin Washington Smith. She attended the SC School For The Deaf and Blind, and was a member of the Pentecostals of Spartanburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Dale Bryant, Thomas Bryant, Jerry Bryant, and Junior Bryant; and three sisters, Geneva Bryant Smith; Nancy Gibson, and Carolyn Walker. Surviving are her brother, Rev. Herman Ted Bryant; sister, Mary McKelvey; and special niece, Kay Bellamy.
