Gail Stroup, age 76, of Mayfield passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 in Louisville. Gail was born in Mayfield, KY on April 4, 1947 to James Marvin Sanderson and Dorothy Sue Sanderson.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Mayfield and a retired secretary at Mayfield High School. Throughout the years, she also worked at the Merit Clothing Company, J.U. Kevil Center and Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Gail will always be remembered for her contagious laugh. Always outgoing, she had the ability to laugh at herself and make others laugh along with her.
Gail is survived by one son, Kerry Stroup of Louisville, KY; two sisters, Ann Snow (Johnny) of Hazen, AR and Tammy Clayton (Larry) of Benton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, DeWayne Stroup and her parents.
