Dorothy Sue Sanderson, age 101, of Mayfield, KY died at 11:35 AM Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield. Dorothy was member of Calvary Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Dorothy is survived by her three daughters – Ann (John) Snow of Hazen, AR, Gail Stroup of Mayfield, KY and Tammy (Larry) Clayton of Benton, KY; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband – James Marvin "Jimtown" Sanderson; parents – William F. & Margaret Belle (Waggoner) Brown; and three brothers – Alton Brown, Jim Davy Brown and Edward Brown.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. Rev. Chris Clark, Rev. Johnny Sanderson and Rev. Kathy Belcher will officiate. Burial will follow in the Poyners Chapel Cemetery. Friends are invited to call after 12:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
