Dover - Helen Marjorie Crofts passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in Dover, Delaware. Helen was the loving wife of the late William A. Crofts and was the last survivor of seven siblings. Helen was 91 and is survived by her three children, Michael Crofts, Sherry L. Thaney (Edward) of Rochester, New York, and Marjorie A. Crofts-Carter (David) of Townsend Delaware; and six grandchildren including Morgan Alexander (Stephen) and Brennen Thaney.

Having been raised on a farm during the Depression, work was Helen's mantra. Besides being a stylish homemaker and topnotch mother, Helen volunteered at and was on the Vestry of her church. Always there for extended family, she did all of the house and yard work while still being able to host dinner parties for her friends and house foreign students who missed their families abroad. Later in her life Helen volunteered at two hospitals and managed dress shops just to keep busy. She continued her volunteerism while living at Westminster Village. Helen was a lady from the ground up; always kind, giving and well-dressed yet ferocious when her children needed her to be so. She was integrity personified and will be missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at 1 PM at Westminster Village, 191 Westminster Drive, Dover, Delaware 19904.

Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations to the American Cancer Society through her daughter's Relay for Life Team. Donations can be made on-line at:
