Friskney Mary Myrtle was one of 9 children in the family of James and Agnes Harlan, born Feb. 24, 1857 in Ashland County, Ohio. When she was a child she came with the family and settled in Noble County near Albion on the farm where she was to spend the remainder of her life. After the death of her mother, her father was married to Hester Green, and they had four children. The parents, five brothers and sisters, one half-brother and one half-sister have preceded her in death. She is survived by two brothers, Daniel A. of Kimmell, Samuel F. of Churubusco; one sister, Mrs. Abraham Ott of Merriam; and two half-brothers, Fordis of Albion, and William O. of Indian Village. On Nov. 29, 1881 she married John S. Friskney. He died March 26, 1925. There were seven children born to them, Elsie M. and an infant having died. Surviving are John Arthur of Morenci, Mich., Franklin R. of Eden, O., Samuel Archie, Mrs. Bessie Baughman and Miss Dessie, all of near Albion. There are 24 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She died with a heart attack on June 24. She was 78 years and four months of age. In 1892 she transferred her church membership from Ohio to the Baptist Church at Burr Oak. Funeral at Burr Oak Thursday. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. + 6-?-1935
