Margaret E. Carland of 1725 Eleventh avenue, a member of the sophomore class in the Senior High school, died at 4:18 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Altoona hospital where she was admitted on Sunday. She was born in the city on Aug. 23, 1921, a daughter of David H. & Zella M. (Wicker) Carland. Surviving are her parents, four brothers and three sisters, Ralph D. and Roy E., both of the city, David H. Jr. and Harold Fred, at home, Mrs. R. L. Stewart of Reynoldsville. Mrs J. F. Shaunnessy and Mrs. J. M. Johnson of the city. Miss Carland was of the Methodist faith. The body may be viewed at the Stevens mortuary.
