Our mother, Nancy Ethel (Baldridge) Andrews, 97, of New Boston, went to her heavenly home on June 20, 2023. She was born in Bonanza, KY in 1926 to the late Elsa and Cona (May) Baldridge. She made her home in Scioto County for most of her life where she and her husband raised their seven children. Her love of sewing and making quilts, (too numerous to count and in later years all by hand) came shining through when she shared them with loved ones and strangers. Her lap quilts will be cherished by many. David called them treasures not lap quilts. She donated many of them to the veterans homes. In her younger years she worked at Lima Tank Depot preparing tanks and vehicles to ship overseas during WWII. She also worked in the onion fields during planting and harvesting.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Howard Edward; sons, Ronel and John Paul; her daughters, Janet and Faye; grandson Benjamin David and all of her sisters and brothers whom she missed terribly.

Surviving are her sons, Arnold David and Gary Eugene; her daughters, Donna Marie (David) Cartilage and Debra Sue (Donald) Bussell. Also surviving, her grandchildren, Andrew Damien, Christopher Aaron, Meagan Marie and Ellen Marie. Her great-grandchildren, Rylan Luke, Allie Marie, Wesley Otis and Emma Lynn. Also surviving is her best friend Maggie Shiveley, whom she loved dearly and who loved her even more; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Dennis Dawes officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
