Beverly was born in Ashburn to the late Henry Edward and Juanita McGraw Wheeler. She retired from Affinity and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Beverly enjoyed visiting the mountains and made sure to always take the same route and stop at the same places on each visit. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bennie Metcalf of Sycamore; sons, Steven (Kayla) Metcalf of Sycamore and Matthew (Heather) Metcalf of Sycamore; daughter, Kristen (Andy) Carter of Sycamore; brother, Donald Wheeler of Ashburn; sisters, Brenda (Jerry) Gravitt of Ashburn, Connie (J. B.) Newell of Sycamore and Teresa (Daniel) Stubbs of Ashburn; grandchildren, Graham Metcalf, Halle Metcalf, Ava Kelley, Leland Metcalf, Grace Kelley, Macy Metcalf, Mady Metcalf, Allie Metcalf, Ethan Carter, Rylan Carter and Wyatt Nutt. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and her beloved dog, Chloe.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery. The family greeted friends from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM Monday, May 19, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church.
