Mrs. Matrid "Libby" Bailey, 80, of Worth County, died on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at her residence.
The graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 19, 2023, at the Rocky Mount Cemetery in Worth County. The Rev. Nick Arbogast will officiate.
Mrs. Bailey was born on April 22, 1943 in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Andrew Edward and Matrid Hamilton Turner. She had lived in Worth County since 1984 and was retired from Bellsouth Telecommunications Company, where she worked as an outside Engineer. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed crocheting, knitting and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, Dwayne Glenn Bailey, Jr. of Lee County, and Andrew Turner Bailey (Marlena) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Joshua Glenn Bailey, Jessica Nicole Bailey, Emily Elizabeth Bailey, and Alexander Turner Bailey; sisters, Annie Osborne and Patricia Moore all of Worth County.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Dwayne Bailey on September 30, 2012.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday at Banks Funeral Home.
