Funeral services will be held in Summerville Thursday for Roscoe A. Carrier a retired farmer who died in his home in Baxter Monday following a lengthy illness. He was 74 years of age. Born in Summerville April 14, 1884, a son of Charles Everett and Emma Carrier Carrier, he was married to Ila Anderson. Mr. Carrier was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Summerville and Hobath Lodge, F. and A.M., in Brookville. He lived his entire life in the Baxter area.
Surviving are his wife, a son Joseph K. Carrier of Pittsburgh, and two daughters, Mrs. Isabel Maslar of Morenci, Arizona, and Mrs. Rebecca Bieber, of Baxter, He also leaves six grandchildren, two brothers, Dr. J. E. Carrier of Summerville, and James A. Carrier, of Los Angeles, and a sister, Miss Rhea Carrier of Summerville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Curry Funeral Home in Summerville. The Rev. James Mapstone will officiate. Masonic Rites will be held at the grave before interment in the Baxter Cemetery
