She was born October 7, 1937 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Virble F. and Evelyn Thompson Comer.
Janet married Ira Willard Miller on March 11, 1955 and he preceded her in death on June 25, 2022.
Janet had worked for a short time for Fairfield Schools. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She also enjoyed being a lifelong member of Weight Watchers. Janet had attended the Fairfield Foursquare Church where she taught Sunday school.
Surviving are her children, Douglas M. (Deborah) Miller of Fredricksburg, Virginia, Daniel L. Miller of Indiana, Donald D. Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dale F. Miller of Fairfield, Iowa, LouAnn Miller of Fairfield, Iowa, Dennis E. (Janette) Miller of Leslie, Missouri, Laura B. (James Russell) Perdue of West Des Moines, Iowa and Leisa C. (Ellsworth) Cook of Fairfield, Iowa; 17 grandchildren 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virble and Connie Comer, Evelyn and Bob Renard; a grandson, Shae McCabe; and a brother, Lloyd Ellis (Sharon) Comer.
