Matthew J. Kienbaum, 56, of rural Kiel died unexpectedly on Wednesday June 7, 2023 at his home. He was born on January 21, 1967 in Sheboygan, son of the late Walter and Lila (Bartelt) Kienbaum.

Matt attended Kiel Schools and was previously married to Dawn Kiesner. He worked for many years at Crystal Lake Stone and Aggrecon as an operator, driver and mechanic. In his free time he enjoyed working on his hobby farm, feeding the birds, hunting, gardening and fishing.

Survivors include his children; Travis, William, Brandon, April and Trenton, brothers; Kurt Myer, Tom (Lanette) Kienbaum, Tim (Geri) Kienbaum, sister; Kathy (Kevin) Diedrich, sisters-in-law; Geriann Kienbaum-Miller and Debbie Kienbaum. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister; Darlene, brothers; Keith and Mark Kienbaum and sister-in-law; Margarite Myer.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Friday June 23, 2023 at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6th St. Kiel). A time of visitation and support for the family will be held at the funeral home from 3:00pm until the time of services at 5:00pm.
