Chris Lavell Miller

(Chris was a good man - funny, full of it, creative, and loved his family. He gave his friendship carefully, but openly. We were treated as friends. He also loved his dogs! God bless him. pfp)
On Thursday, June 1, 2023 our beloved father Chris Lavell Miller (age 82) passed away quietly at the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veteran's Home. He was attended to by all three of his surviving children, Clint Miller (Eagle Mountain), Kelly Miller (Lafayette CO), and Brody Miller (Ogden).

Chris was born to LaVell C and Rheta Snow Miller on January 22, 1941 in Standardville Utah and was raised in Royal and Castle Gate attending schools in Carbon County. He married Evelyn Tanner in Salt Lake City in 1966 and they enjoyed 56 years together until Evelyn's untimely passing on October 22, 2022.

Chris honorably served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. His expertise in the field of telecommunications led to his career and retirement with American Telephone and Telegraph beginning as a lineman and retiring in management.

Chris & Evelyn's retirement years were spent enjoying each other's company, traveling, and taking many road trips. Their favorite camping spot was on the Boulder Mountain. Chris had many hobbies that included oil painting and wood craftsmanship making many items such as clocks, furniture, cabinets. etc.

Chris was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, sister Anne Johnatakis and brother Kent Miller. He is survived by his three children, three grandchildren Brennan & McKenzie Miller, Pilar Lopez & brother Ernie (Ginger) Miller.

A memorial service will not be held abiding by Chris's and the family's request.

We love you, Dad. We know you and mom are having "fun together" once again.
