Dorothy Mae Todd Bailey, 90, went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 5, 2023. She was born September 1, 1932, to Thurman and Violet Robbins Todd. She was married to the late Melvin Bailey and together they raised two daughters, Pam, and Retta. She worked at Brookwood furniture for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed being outdoors and tending her flowers. She also enjoyed playing Bingo at Union County Health and Rehab. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and loved beyond measure. She will be greatly missed. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Services to honor the life of Mrs. Dorothy will be on Thursday, June 8, at 11:00 a.m. at United Funeral Service with Bro. Ben Murphree and Bro. Tracy Quillian officiating. Visitation will be on June 7, from 5:00pm till 8:00pm also at United.
Those left to carry on her memories are, two daughters, Retta Works (John) and Pam Lessel (Jimmie) one brother, Jim Todd, five grandchildren, Jason Lessel (Melody), Jeremy Lessel, Brian Atkins (Jessica), Brandy Rorie, and Brent Atkins, nine great-grandchildren, Chandler Lessel, Kaitlyn Foreman, Landon Lessel, Jesse Lessel, Jayce Hester, Keely Rorie, Libby Rorie, Ayla Rorie, and Paxton Rorie, three great-great grandchildren, Delta Kate Foreman, Grady Reece James, and Luca Wade Hester.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Kent Todd and Bobby Todd, and one great grandchild, Bailey Brooke Rorie.
