Joyce was preceded in death by her parents William J. and Pearl Abney, sisters; Darlene Veazey, Mary Jim McCann, Annie Laurie Blanks, Dorothy Sutton and brothers; Bill Abney and George Abney.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Charlie Denton, sons; Mike Denton (Christy) and David Denton (Renee); grandchildren, Brandi Denton (Alex), Mikey Denton, Catherine Smith (Grayson), Ashleigh Petz (Josh), Daniel Brown, Chuck Denton and Kyle Denton; five great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Abney (Laura); and sister, Doris Critchett.
Joyce was a passionate Alabama Crimson Tide fan and never missed watching a game and enjoyed spending time with her family. The family is holding a small graveside service Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
