STANLEY -- Claude Buchanan 85, 7762 Otts Circle, died Tuesday. A graveside service with DAV Military Honors will be held at 2 p.m. at Hollybrook Cemetery.
A native of Mineral Bluff, Georgia, he was a retired welder and a U.S. Army veteran of WW II.
Survivors include his wife, Doris McCabe Buchanan:; a son, Charles Buchaan of Charlotte; three daughters, Wanda Potter and Jean Cox both of Denver and Pamela Buchanan of Vale; two brothers, Robert T. Buchanan of Morganton, N.C. and Glenn Buchanan of Mineral Bluff, Georgia; two sisters, Grace Sizemore of Canton, N.C. and Betty Woodard of Conyers, Georgia; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Warlick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
