"Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Baptist church for Clay Thompson, 74, who died suddenly here Monday noon.

Rev. W.L. Ketner was in charge of the services. L.A. Pickard sang "God's Tomorrow" and "Sunrise" with piano accompaniment by his daughter, Mrs. Hubert Beeson.

Pallbearers were Hubert Delp, Lewis Stark, Laurel Tunin, Emory Merritt, O.S. Hatton and Herschel Ewbank.

The many lovely floral pieces were carried by Mrs. Paul Mitchell, Mrs. Glenn Davies, Mrs. Oral Simmons, Mrs. A.L. Miller, Mrs. Charles Goodin, Mrs. Emory Merritt, Mrs. Ernest Chaney, Mrs. Gerald Summers, Mrs. Laurel Tunin, Mrs. Bon Thomas, Mrs. Hubert Delp, Mrs. Wallace Crowder, Mrs. Grace Hobson, Mrs. Henry Delp, Mrs. Denver Robison, Mrs. Ray Floyd, Mrs. Paul Gastineu, Mrs. John Leonard, Mrs. Lewis Stark, Mrs. Rhoda Banta, Mrs. Tommy Hutchens, Mrs. F.V. McIntyre, Mrs. C.E. Hobbs, Mrs. Clifford Chapman, Mrs. Guy Marshall, Miss Marie Way, Miss Alice Myers and Miss Marian McIntyre.

Burial was made in the Wolfe Creek cemetery north of Marshall."
