Melinda Kay Allen, 20, of rural Abingdon died at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Warren County.
She was born June 9, 1987 in Galesburg, IL to Gerry and Margie Boone Allen.
Melinda is survived by her parents; three brothers, Rick, Brandon and Matt; her grandmothers, Ada Johnson and Kathleen Boone; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers.
She graduated from Abingdon High School in 2005. She was currently in her Junior year at Western Illinois University in Macomb pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
Melinda was a student worker in the accounting department at Western Illinois University and was also a waitress at Lake Bracken Country Club.
Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.
