Funeral Services Held Wednesday for H Raulerson.

Graveside services were held at 11 0'clock Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery for Hubert Vassar Raulerson who died at his home Sunday evening at 9:15 o'clock. Although Mr Raulerson had suffered a stroke a year ago, he had apparently made excellent recovery and his death from a heart condition, was sudden and unexpected. After retiring that evening, Mr Raulerson got up and went into the bathroom, talking with his wife as he drank a glass of water. She asked him a question which was unanswered and in an instant heard a soft thud, followed by another which caused her to rush to investigate. He was dead when she reached him. Born on October 2, 1901, he had spent his entire life in Okeechobee. Formerly a construction worker, he had been an employee of the State Road Department for many years. Survivors include his wife, the former Blanche Walker, two sons, Clifford of Stuart and Paul who attends high school here; four daughters, Mrs Jeanette King, Mrs Fred Smith, Mrs Pearlie Jones and Betty Jo, all of Okeechobee, and 11 grandchildren. Three brothers also survive, Arthur of Okeechobee, Ray, Pahokee, and Lee of Belle Glade, A sister, Mrs Lynwood Smith of Lake Village, Arkansas, arrived here Tuesday. The Rev A O Jensen, Pastor of the Assembly of God officiated with Yates Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were J W Pursell, Charles Musgrove, B P Abney, Bid Davis, Bill Spencer and Osie Raulerson. (Re: Diane Bryan)
