Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Appleton, on Sunday, June 2, at 2:30 p. m. for Mrs. Emma Louis Kohler, who died at her home in Moyer township on Thursday, May 30, at 1:45 p.m. after a long
illness. Rev. G. S. Morrison, assisted by Rev. A. A. Schendel, of Correll, officiated at the services with interment in the Fairfield cemetery. At the church services Albert and Walter Gollnick, of Madison,
rendered a song.
Mrs. Kohler was born Aug. 11, 1869 in Posen, Germany, to Michael and Wilhelmina Dallman and came to this country in 1886. She was united in marriage to William F. Kohler on May 25, 1891, at Bellingham. That was her home for five years before moving to Moyer township which has since
been her home. She was a member of the Evangelical church of Fairfield and later the Methodist church of Appleton.
She leaves to mourn her death three daughters: Mary (Mrs. William Nelson), Mrs. Augusta Smith and Minnie (Mrs. John Anderson), all of Appleton; two sons, Robert and Frank, at home; 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Priem of Bellingham. Her husband preceded her in death in 1935. One daughter, Alice, died in 1932 and two daughters, Sarah and Esther, and one son died in infancy.
