WIFE JANE WADDLE 1838 TO 14 JAN 1909; IN MORMAN BATTALION MEXICAN WAR

BLOOMFIELD-Schuyler Hulett died at his home in this city Sunday night at 12:30. He had been suffering from dopsy for some months past, but during the past week had seemed greatly improved and retired to rest Sunday night feeling unusually well. About midnight he called Mrs. Hulett complaining of great pain. and a few minutes later passed away. Mr. Hulett was born in Portage, Ohio, August 24, 1826, and moved with his parents to Jackson county, Mo., and later to Van Buren county, Iowa, in 1841. In 1846 he enlisted in the Mexican War and served one year. In 1849 he came to Bloomfield and worked at the blacksmith trade, soon after opening up a shop of his own and continued the business until a few years ago. He was married in July, 1853, to Miss Jane Waddell of this county, who with eight of their ten children survive him.
