Mary Ann Singer, age 84, of Custer, passed away at Willow Brooke Assisted Living, in Stevens Point, on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Mary Ann was born on the family farm in Bevent, Marathon County, on April 10, 1939. A daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Zolondz) Wierzba, she attended local schools.

She was united in marriage to Louis Singer on June 14, 1958 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church. The couple moved to their farm in the Town of Sharon where Mary and Louis raised their 4 children.

She was a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church and would pray the Rosary every day. She enjoyed gardening, canning her vegetables, visiting with family and friends, listening to Polka music and especially, raising her chickens. Her greatest joy though, was being with her family and especially her grand and great grandchildren.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Caroline (Jim) Pozniak of Minocqua, Sandra (Jeff) Rozek, Mike (Diane) Singer and David Singer all of Custer; five grandchildren, Nic (Amy) Singer, Nathan (Michelle Dahms) Singer, Codie (Torre) Singer, Christopher Rozek and Staci (Morris) McCallister; six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Norbert (Loretta) Singer; sister-in-law, Andrea Singer; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis in November of 1986; siblings, Alvina (Nick) Kurszewski, Clara (Elias) Kurszewski, Helen (Florian) Lewandowski, Pauline (Ernest) Betker, John (Margaret) Wierzba, Roman (Bernice) Wierzba, Felix (Joan) Wierzba, Frank (Jeanette) Wierzba.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, 173141 State Highway 153, Hatley, WI 54440 on Thursday, May 25, 2023 with Reverend Augustine Bentil presiding.

Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at the Church on Thursday, from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30AM.
