JOSHUA BROWN ROHER, aged 82, of Springfield Twp, Three Springs, passed away at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital on Thursday evening, February 14, 1963. He had been in ill health for several years.

The deceased was born on December 17, 1880, Three Springs, the son of Henry and Louisa (Brown) Roher. One June 29, 1904, at Huntingdon, he was united in marriage with Olive Lane.

Mrs. Roher survives, along with four children: Mrs. Clema Nead and Fred Roher, both of Huntingdon; Melvin Roher, Three Springs; and Mrs. Martha Hamilton, Mt. Union. An infant son preceded him in death. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. There are 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren surviving.

Mr. Roher was a highly respected resident, known as a kind neighbor and loving father. In his early life, he had engaged in coal mining but later had been a farmer. He had been a member of the Cherry Grove Church of God for 40 years.

The funeral service will be on Sunday afternoon, February 17, at 1 o'clock at the Cherry Grove Church of God. The Rev. Paul Bell will officiate and burial will be made in the Cherry Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home in Huntingdon after 1 p.m. Saturday. There will be a viewing at the church from 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning, until the hour of the service.
