LOA — Voyle Erastus Sorenson, 84, Loa, died June 22, 1992, at his home in Loa.
He was born May 8, 1908, Lyman, to Erastus and Christiana "Annie" Rasmussen Sorenson. He married Lillie Maxfield, June 13, 1928, Manti LDS Temple; she died Oct. 2, 1972. He married Hazel Dalton, Aug. 31, 1974. She is residing in Salt Lake City to be near her daughters, Bernella and Ray Smith and Monya Fautin. Her son and his wife, Burke and Rhea Barlow reside in Richfield.
Mr. Sorenson was an active member of the LDS Church and served a Southern States Mission in 1925-27. He was a farmer and rancher and raised Hereford cattle. He served as president of the Fremont Irrigation Co. and Seven Mile Grazers Assn.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Lester (DeOna) Oyler, Loa, currently serving in the Florida Tampa LDS Mission; Mrs. Darwin (RaNae) Jackson, Richfield; Mrs. Ronnie (Montez) Steele, Moab; Mrs. George (Arda Mae) Morrell, Mrs. Thomas (GaeLynn) Peterson, both Loa; Mrs. Erroll (Joyce) Deardon, Fillmore; 40 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; brother, Fremon J., Lyman; sisters, Tilda S. Taylor, Fremont; Lucy S. Torgerson, Bicknell.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Loa LDS Stake Tabernacle. Friends may call at Springer/Turner Funeral Home, Richfield, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and at the tabernacle Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Loa Cemetery by Springer/Turner Funeral Home, Richfield.
