Michael E. Stewart, age 57, of East Peoria passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Peoria to Virgil and Margarette (Frazier) Stewart.
He is survived by his parents of East Peoria; one son, Justin Stewart of Spring Bay; one sister, Jackie Goode of East Peoria; one brother, Philip Stewart of East Peoria; three aunts; one uncle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Michael worked for Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria for 33 years, retiring in 2006.
He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears and NASCAR fan. He loved working in his yard, gardening and fishing with his family.
Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
