Saran was a Registered Nurse at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She retired with 40 plus years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Linton.
Family left to cherish the memories of Saran include: one son, Todd (Latee) Ellis of Colorado Springs, CO; three daughters, Dania (Gasper) Dominici of Denver, CO, Deanna Frye of Loogootee and Dorinda (Brian) Smith of Fishers; daughter-in-law, Jean Ellis; nineteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Saran was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Troy Ellis; sister, Georgia Pirtle; two brothers, Max Eckrote and Sherrill 'Spank' Stout.
A memorial service will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor Ben Biggs officiating. Saran will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12 Noon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 6060 Castleway West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
