Marlo Jane Schulte, 80, of Burlington, passed away on April 26, 2023. A graveside committal service will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Dodgeville.

Marlo is survived by her daughter, Nicole Imthurn; step-daughter, Kathy Strawhacker and her family; niece, Kelli Bonar and her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter A. Schulte; her mother, Doris Barker; her father, Burdette Barker; and her brother and step-sister, Bruce and Marcia Barker.

Born on April 4, 1943 in Burlington, the daughter of Doris & Burdette Barker, Marlo graduated from Burlington High School in 1961. After graduation, she began a job at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant where she worked until retiring in the early 1990s. It was at the plant where she met her beloved husband, Pete. The two married on September 3, 1994. She loved traveling the world with Pete and greatly enjoyed attending all their children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Marlo was fond of bird watching and always kept her bird feeders well-stocked. She also enjoyed a good game of bunko.
