Elizabeth Younker, 92, Ellis, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at Ellis Good Samaritan Center. She was born Jan. 25, 1912, in St. Peter to George and Rosa (Becker) Lang.

She married Jacob A. Younker on June 9, 1931, in Hays. He died April 28, 1987. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Donald Younker, and wife Joan, Bridgeview, Ill.; a daughter, Julia Honas and husband, Ralph, Ellis; two sisters, Josephine Ptaschek and Catherine Ptaschek, both of Ellis; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris M. Younker.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wasinger Funeral Chapel, Ellis. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. followed by a Daughters of Isabella Rosary. Memorials are suggested to the church.
