Mr. Hickman retired from the Crescent Forge and Shovel Co. in Havana Feb. 16, 1984 after working there for 20 years. He was a member of the Laborers International Union and a veteran of WWII serving in both the Coast Guard and Navy.
He is survived by five step-daughters, Emma Jean (Herbert, Jr) Schappaugh of Manito, IL; Linda Lou Kelly of Lincoln, IL; Shirley (Ross) Dunlevy of Springfield, IL; Rose Ethel Thompson of Athens, IL and Alice Marie (John) Turner of Bluffs, IL. Also surviving are two step-sons, Ivan (Joann) Logue of Easton, IL; and John Logue of Chandlerville, IL; several step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
