The daughter of the late Jessie A. Marshall and Ollie Bell Doyle Marshall, Mary Louise was a lifetime resident of Hardeman County. She was educated here and, on October 2, 1948, married Carl Gene Davis. He passed away June 17, 2001. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gracie Downen and Virginia Johnson; and three brothers, Olion, Roy and Edward Marshall.
Mrs. Davis was a faithful member of the Middleton church of Christ. There, she taught 3rd and 4th grade Sunday School for 50 years. She was a retired sale clerk from Wal-Mart and, in her leisure time, enjoyed sewing and tending to the flowers in her yard.
She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and, her close friend, Kathy Pulse (Marion) of Middleton.
