Jeanette was born on May 24, 1940, in Kinmundy, the daughter of Roley and Edna (Crane) Brimberry. She married Marvin R. Carter on Dec. 19, 1959; he survives in Alma.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin; five children, Judy Ogden and husband John of Millbrook, Alabama, Vicky Vogel of Tuscola, Gary Moore and wife Yaneth of Panama, the Rev. Joseph Carter and wife Angela of Tuscola and Melissa Jill Logue and husband Kenny of Tuscola; 12 grandchildren, Holly and Shawn Ogden, Scott and Steven Vogel, Christopher, Michael, Jency and Ashley Moore, Tasha Mauzy, Tiffany Wilson, Kristin Moretti and Benjamin Logue and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Jeanette and her husband, Marvin, also fostered many children throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jordan Rhodes; three sisters and four brothers.
Jeanette was a homemaker. She loved her children and family and cherished her time spent with them. She loved to play bingo, read books and watch movies. She was a member of the Alma Christian Church.
Celebration of life services for Jeanette G. Carter will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 5, at Alma Christian Church, 307-391 High Street, Alma, with Randy VanAusdall officiating. There will be a time to visit with the family from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at a later date.
