Hall of Fame Professional Hockey Player. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, he played at the defense position for seven seasons (1940 to 1942, 1945 to 1950) in the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens. His notable career highlights include playing on the 1945-1946 Stanley Cup Champion Canadiens Team and five-time selection to the NHL All Star Team (1946, 1947, 1948, 1949 and 1950). After retiring as a player, he held various positions within the Canadiens organization. His older brother Terry was also a professional hockey player. During his NHL career, Reardon appeared in 341 regular season games and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1966. During World War II, Reardon served in the Canadian Army. He died of complications from Alzheimer's disease.
