Mr. James Lucian Long 80, of Nakina passed on Friday April 21, 2023 at his home. He was born December 29, 1942 in Columbus County, the son of the late David Norman Long and Mary Gore Long.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jacobs Long; three daughters, Pam Brown of SamSon, AL, Jessie Long of Ponta Gorda FL, Renee Long Labrecque of Ponta Gordo, FL; brothers, Woody Long of St. James City, FL, Larry Long of Bokelia, FL, and Elvis Long of St. James City, FL; sister, Ernestine Squires of St. James City, FL; grandchildren, Chris and Christina Brown; great granddaughter, Clara Brown.
He was preceded in death, by his parents; a sister, Frankie Ivy; nephews Bobby Holloway and Reggie Ivy.
His funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Coffey officiating. Burial will be in the Ward Cemetery in Nakina.
His family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, April 24, 2023 at Peacock Funeral Home.
