Robert Lee Hadden, age 71 of Daleville and formerly of Sterling, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Lee was born September 4, 1951, in Clarksville, Tennessee, and was the son of the late William James Hadden Jr. and Ada Margaret Shumate Hadden.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his brother, William James Hadden, III.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 34 years, Eileen K. Bartels Hadden; brother, Whitney W. (Nancy) Hadden of Los Angeles, California; sister, Elizabeth (Dick) Lunney of Huntersville, North Carolina; sisters-in-law: Martha Ann Jacob of Lynchburg, and Gloria (Gary) Levengood of Arlington, Texas; brother-in-law, Randy Bartels of Redwing, Minnesota; and his beloved dog, Horis.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 25 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with the Reverend Richard Workowski officiating. A private burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Martinsville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Reformed Episcopal Church, 6429 Merriman Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24018.
