Gladys M. "Nanna" Neal, 76, of Lee Street, mother of Jo Morledge and Robin Hannah, both of Columbus, died at 2:50 p.m. Monday at Bartholomew County Hospital.
She had worked for Harrison Lake Country Club, Northside Drugs and Carpenter Drug Store, retiring in 1970. She was a charter member of Cosmopolitan Club and a member of First Christian Church.
Funeral will be conducted by Myers Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Thursday at Reed and Jewell Chapel, with the Rev. Harold E. Armstrong officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials nay be made to Bartholomew County Area Hospice.
Born Oct. 22, 1913, in Grays, Essex, England, Mrs. Neal was the daughter of Charles George and Louisa Butcher White. She was married to William Hollis Neal Feb. 22, 1944, in England. He died May 10, 1976.
Also surviving are a sister, Doll White, and a brother, Jim White, both of Grays, Essex, England; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons and a granddaughter.
