Robert Tayler was born on 30 March 1812 to John Taylor and Elizabeth Wood.
21 July 1836- Robert Tayler married with Martha Anne Frances Richardson( daughter of Christopher Richardson) at Dinapore, Bengal.
He was a famous Indigo Planter of Hutowrey Tirhoot. In 1842, he also expanded his control over Indigo Factories of Champaran. On 3 May 1850, he died at Jounpore aged 37 of smallpox and was buried at Jounpore Cemetery.
