Gayle LaMoyne Watkins was born August 24, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Okla. to Carl and Harriet (Murray) Matheson. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School and completed two years of college at Oklahoma Baptist University before her marriage to Greg Watkins. Gayle was a loving, dedicated, and amazing homemaker, filled with the joy of her Lord Jesus Christ, and successfully filling all the numerous roles that make up that occupation, including of course, wife and mother, but she was also seamstress, finance manager, home educator, event planner, and many more. She was a wonderful "chef" who enjoyed gathering family and friends, always believing the best about them, and making them feel loved and welcomed. Gayle loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She enjoyed reading and playing games, especially with her grandchildren. In all these things she gave credit and praise to her Lord Jesus, as her personal Lord and Savior.

She also served as an administrative assistant for various churches and independent Christian ministries, and lastly as co-minister with her husband Greg in their own healing prayer ministry. Gayle devoted her life to serving her Lord Jesus Christ, ministering life, joy, and love to everyone around her.
