Man, 52, Dies Unexpectedly
Services Sunday for Irvin Barber
Irvin W. Barber, 52, dies suddenly Thursday at 11 p.m. at his home approximately two and one-half miles east of Sandusky.
Mr. Barber had not been feeling well for the past few days but his death was unexpected and came as a great shock to his family and friends.
A farmer, the deceased had lived at the late home for the past six years, coming to Decatur county from Rush county where he had lived for several years.
He was the son of William and Julia (McDaniel) Barber and was born Sept. 25, 1900 in Franklin county near Andersonville.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Greensburg.
Survivors include the window Mrs. Gladys (Lee) Barber; four sons, Arnold, Richard, James, at home and Irvin Jr of Rushville, a daughter Mrs. Julia Ann Aldrich; and a granddaughter, Kathy Aldrich, both at home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Moster mortuary in Rushville, Rev O. P. Baugh, pastor of the Sandusky Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hopewell cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Saturday.
