Raymond Bailey, 79, former Miles City dairy operator, died Tuesday at the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Fort Harrison where he had been a patient for the last two months.

He was born in Milan Washington on July 31, 1891, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bailey. The family came to Montana in 1906 and his father established the first dairy in Miles City, Broadview Dairy. After his father's death in 1929, he operated the dairy until 1951 when he sold and moved to Bitterroot Valley in Western Montana. Since 1959, he had lived in Bozeman.

He was a Veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion and Last Man's Club, both of Miles City.

Surviving are his widow, Alice Schaff Bailey, who he married in Miles City in 1921, three daughters; Mrs. Jake Curtis of Tacoma Washington, Mrs. Robert Skyes of Anchorage Alaska, and Mrs. James Lehfeldt of Minneapolis Minnesota, and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving are a brother; Milton Bailey of Ashford Washington, and four sisters; Mrs. Myrtle Patterson, Mrs. Hazel Nason, Mrs. Joe Peschl, and Dr. Montana Dunn, all of Miles City.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Dahl Funeral Home in Bozeman
