Fr. Edwin was born on September 13, 1914, in Milwaukee, WI, where he entered the Order on August 27, 1933. He completed his college studies in Ellicott City, MD, and took his Philosophy program in Montreal. He was solemnly professed on August 29, 1937 and went on to Poland for further studies. With the war in 1939, he returned to the U.S. and Granby, MA, where he completed his theology. He was ordained in Milwaukee on July 1, 1941. Fr. Edwin's first assignment included serving as associate at Queen of Angels, Detroit, and St. Anthony's Rockford. In 1951 he was asked to develop the newly formed parish of Queen of Angels in La Sierra (Riverside, CA). This was his "Miracle Church". It was during this time that he served as the Provincial delegate in California. In 1963 he returned to St. Anthony's Rockford, Il. as Pastor. By 1969 he was back in California to take up the pastorship of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Hermosa Beach, CA. With the foundation of the California Custody in 1978, he was elected Treasurer and moved to Torrance, where the central office was located. A year later he was asked to assist at St. Thomas Parish in Riverside, where he eventually became pastor in 1981, ministering there until his death. He died on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 1984, at Parkview Hospital in Riverside, CA. Fr. Edwin was known as a gentle man and one dedicated to the Church and Order. He loved other people and was described by many as a "holy man". He served the Church and Order for 43 years as a priest. After the wake and funeral at St. Thomas Church, Riverside, he was laid to rest in holy Cross Cemetery/Mausoleum in Los Angeles. His remains were transferred to the new Province Cemetery in Arroyo Grande, CA. in 1985.
