‎ ‎ ‎ CALDWELL Sherman Burton, 79, of Parma died at his home Wednesday, August 21.
‎ ‎ ‎ Born in Hickory county, Mo. Mr. Burton came to Burley in 1913. In 1923 he moved to Parma. He was married in 1884 at Mano, Mo., to Mary Ellen Burton who survives him. Survivors also include four sons, Dallas of Tulsa, Okla., Elmer of Ogden, Utah, Earl of Birmingham, Ala., Chap of Parma; five daughters, Cordie Benedict of Rupert, Naomie Rhines of Shelton, Wash., Alta Himler of Parma, Mary Lockwood of Seattle, Bill Martin of Parma, thirty grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; one brother and one sister of Kansas City, Mo.
‎ ‎ ‎ Mr. Burton was affiliated with the I.O.O.F. lodge at Berryville, Arkansas, and with the Missionary Baptist church for sixty years in which he was an ordained minister for thirty-five years.
‎ ‎ ‎ Services will be at 2:30 Saturday, August 24 at the Missionary Baptist church in Parma with the Rev. Gordon Thompson and Rev. Payton officiating. Interment will be at Parma.
