‎ ‎ ‎ PARMA Ellen Burton, 76, a resident of Parma for 22 years, died Saturday at her Parma residence.
‎ ‎ ‎ Mrs. Burton was born Feb. 19, 1871, at Mano, Mo., and was married there to Calvin Sherman Burton on Dec. 19, 1886. She came to Burley in 1913 and later moved to Nyssa in 1923 before coming to Parma in 1925. She was a member of the Baptist church.
‎ ‎ ‎ Surviving are five daughters, Cordie Benedict of Paul, Naomi Rhines of Shelton, Wash., Alta Himler of Nisqually, Wash., Mary Jane Lockwood of Seattle and Billie Marie Martin of Parma, four sons, Dallas A. Burton of Tulsa, Okla., Elmer L. Burton of Ogden, L. Earl Burton of Miami, Okla., and Chap Burton of Parma; 32 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters.
‎ ‎ ‎ Services will be conducted at the Parma Missionary Baptist church at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday with the Rev. Gordon Thompson of Twin Falls officiating. Interment will be at Parma under the direction of the Peckham-Dakan chapel of Caldwell.
