Died--in Gallatin City, on the morning of the 18th of February 1873, of supposed congestion of the brain, Nellie Akin, only daughter of Jarvis and Louisa J. Aikin, aged 10 years, 8 months and 10 days.
Little Nellie was a good girl and a general favorite. This was evidenced by the very large company of sympathizing friends that accompanied her remains to the grave.
