Her parents preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her family, her daughter, DeDe Hodge and her husband Lee of Spicewood; her sons, Jason Dodgen and his wife Stacia of Horseshoe Bay, and Dan Dodgen of Round Mountain; her grandchildren, Halee and Peyton Hodge of Spicewood, Reece and Jackson Dodgen of Horseshoe Bay; her brothers; David Daniel and his wife Joann of Tyler, and John Daniel and his wife Paula of Jacksonville, Ark.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to her many doctors and their staff for all the care and efforts given. Those who truly knew Mary will remember her loving, generous spirit and her compassionate nature. Her friendships spanned from her early East Texas roots to the kinships she formed at Eanes ISD, Austin Aquafest, The Travis County Livestock Show & Rodeo, and, most recently, Smith County. Her memory will live on in the hearts of many.
A visitation for Mary will be held on Monday, Feb. 25, 2008. from 5: p.m. to 8 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. A funeral service celebrating Mary's life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Marble Falls. Pastor Mark Towns will officiate. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville. The family has also planned a memorial service to celebrate Mary's life on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Pine Springs Baptist Church in Tyler, where Pastor Mark Towns will officiate.
