MR. HARRY ABSTON - A native of Chunchula, Ala., resident of Mobile, Ala., passed at the Singing River Hospital, January 10, 1975. His remains will lie in state at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, No. 11 Thursday evening January 16, from 5 p.m. until funeral hour Friday, January 17, at 2 p.m., the Rev. J.B. Weaver will officiate. Interment will follow in the Plateau Cemetery. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mrs. Hattie Abston; mother, Mrs. Estelle Abston; five sons, Willie Abston, Mobile, Ala., Harry Abston, Jr., Delaware, Herman and Larry Abston, Mobile, Ala.; one daughter; two devoted stepchildren, Willie and Doris Paige; six sisters, Miss Dessie Abston, Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Lula Bell and Mrs. Annie Reddix, Biloxi, Miss., Mrs. Ruby Gamble, Harrington, Del., Mrs. Lizzie Graham, Milford, Del.; three brothers, Nathaniel Abston, Biloxi, Miss., Clarence Abston, Philadelphia, Pa., Andrew Abston; mother-in-law, Mrs. Lucy Koen; four sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; four grandchildren; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Azalea Funeral Home, 352 State Street at Claiborne has charge of arrangements.
