Bruce was born March 11, 1942 in Lincoln, IL to Leslie V. and M. Isabelle (Hagval) Evans. On August 16, 1970, he wed Susan Ann Siegrist in Peoria, IL. She survives.
Bruce served as a radioman in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He then spent his career of over 55 years as a hairstylist and retired from his own shop, Headquarters. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, gardening, and foraging for morels. He always had bird dogs and leaves behind his beloved dog, Jake.
Bruce was a long-time member of Mt. Olive Missionary Church where he loved singing in the choir. He also taught the College and Career Class and an adult Sunday school class. He had a heart for missions and served as Mission Board Chairman for several years.
Interment will occur privately at a later time within Jubilee College State Park Cemetery.
