Arthur B. Evenrud, Glenwood Township retired farmer, died October 24 at the Eastern Star Home at the age of 88.
Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Olaf O. brandt at Glenwood Lutheran Church Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 2 pm. Burial was in Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery with the following men serving as pallbearers: oliver Ruen, Irvin Berge, Chester Hill, Clifford Borseth, Chester Barth, & Leonard Ask. Miss Carrie Kvamme was organist & accompanied the congragation as they sang hymns. Funeral arrangements were made by Steine Funeral Home.
Mr. Evenrud was born May 30, 1888 in Glenwood Township [Winneshiek county, IA] & had lived his entire life in Winneshiek county. He attended rural school & was married March 6, 1913 in Glenwood Lutheran Church to Olga B. Hill. His wife died January 16, 1976.
A daughter, Mrs. Arla Ruen, his parents, Anton & Mette Evenrud, 4 brothers & 1 sister & 3 grandchildren also preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son, Hayward Evenrud of Decorah, 3 grandchildren, & 3 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Evenrud was a member of Glenwood Lutheran church.
