Kathy Mae Hoffman, 67, of Potosi, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at UW – Hospital, Madison. A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 7:00 PM, Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville, at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kathy Hoffman Memorial Fund. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Kathy was born on October 30, 1955 in Platteville, daughter of Robert "Bob" and Debbie (Taylor) Howell. She graduated from Platteville High School, class of 1973. After high school she attended SWTC, Fennimore, where she got her certification as a CNA. Kathy worked at the Platteville Hospital and then for local nursing homes in Platteville and Lancaster for many years, Later she worked along side her daughter, Tamara, doing housekeeping at Country Inn & Suites, Platteville. She enjoyed fishing, camping, tending to her gardens, and bird watching. She always liked to bake and cook for her family and to celebrate Halloween with her family. She had a tender heart for all of the cats and dogs in the neighborhood making sure they were taken care of.

Kathy is survived by the love of her life, James "Dobber" Reuter; four children, Jeb Hoffman, Charles Hoffman, Melisa Womack and Tamara Hoffman; five grandchildren, Josh Womack, Jourdan Womack, Paiden Kastner, Taddly Hoffman and Adriana Eastlick; one great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Marie Munson; two sisters, Chris (Jack) Williams and LeeAnna (Tim) Howell; six brothers, Larry (Sandy) Howell, Troy Wilkinson, Randy Howell, John "Gordy" (Angela) Howell, Robert (Teresa) Howell, Jr., and William (Erin) Howell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Womack, her parents and sister, Dawn Marie Howell in infancy.
