Norma L. Work age 88 of Route 219 Brockport, PA; died on Thursday March 30, 2023 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on June 27, 1934 in Brookville, PA; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gladys Carr Snyder. On December 25, 1953 she was married to Herbert A. Work and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2018. Retired, Norma had been employed as a young woman at the Holiday Inn in DuBois as a maid and later she worked at Christ the King Manor. As her children came along she became more and more of a homemaker and a mother. She was Methodist by faith. Norma enjoyed bowling and served as a cub scout den mother for many many years. She also enjoyed teaching and playing baseball in the back yard with all of her children. She is survived by a son Wayne Work of Brockport; a daughter Carrie (Timothy) McDole also of Brockport; a son Raymond (Maureen) Work of Clemmons, NC; a son Gregory Work of Jimtown, PA; 4 sisters: Helen (Dave) Day of Falls Creek; Dorothy Bish of Hawthorne, PA; Judy Stickling of Arkansas and Carol (Bob) Day of Reynoldsville. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a son Ralph Work, 5 sisters: Betty, Ruth, Mary Jane, Peggy, Janet and 3 brothers: Wayne, Lawrence and Gene.
